Agenda for Connectivity in the Americas and Plan of Action of Quito

Integration is helping to transform relations among all countries, as well as the world itself, thereby posing common challenges and proposing common objectives.

In fulfillment of the commitment made at the Summit, CITEL has prepared the Agenda for Connectivity, a conceptual framework that may be viewed as a national, regional, or subregional strategy for stepping up the transformation of the countries of the Hemisphere into knowledge-based societies.  The Plan of Action also sets out a process of three basic steps for countries willing to formulate and implement a connectivity strategy:  evaluation and planning, implementation, and evaluation.

This is a dynamic document, the result of intensive collaborative effort and exchange of views among the member states, private sector, and regional organizations and entities.  We are certain that the synergy created will assist in identifying and formulating viable solutions that will benefit the community – both in the Americas and worldwide.
